09/09/2026: Restaurant Marsvinet looks like a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Danish home-style cooking. The menu features an appealing selection of fresh fish and seafood, classic smørrebrød, warm smoked salmon and the popular Stjerneskud with fried and steamed fish, smoked salmon, asparagus and prawns. Traditional dishes such as Wiener schnitzel and pan-fried plaice also sound delicious. The focus on local ingredients and honest homemade food gives the restaurant a warm and authentic character, making it a lovely choice for a relaxed Danish meal.

09/09/2026: Nothing special, but we were full.

28/08/2026: Bad stomach after 2 hours… all the tables were completely disgusting, nice atmosphere, as the restaurant was full which is fine. But a bit sad to see the little young workers walking back and forth in the restaurant while they almost hold each other's hands, and do nothing. You put up with a lot, but bad bad stomach after 2 hours, that crosses my limit, and the foot will not be put there again. Order number 498 Friday, August 28

22/07/2026: A great place. It's not a 5-star restaurant, so you can fill up, and the food is very good. Highly recommended. The service is very friendly.

22/07/2026: Good food at a reasonable price. If you're hungry, you can definitely get something decent here. The pizzas are huge!

10/06/2026: Lovely pizzeria with really good service. The durum rolls were standard and as expected at very favorable prices.

02/06/2026: Our stay at the Scandic Olympic was okay overall. The room was clean and stylish, the bed was comfortable, but unfortunately, there was a sewage smell in the room in the evening. It's not something that should result in a negative review, but it wasn't pleasant either. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good. Please keep it that way; the staff were also incredibly friendly. For a short trip, it's definitely recommended, but please look into the sewage issue, as we mentioned it at check-out and the staff member told us it was a known problem. Perhaps something should be done about it. ;) :) If we come back to Esbjerg, we would definitely stay with you again.

02/06/2026: Typical Scandic hotel on the edge of the city center. Everything was within easy walking distance from here. Friendly staff and the room had a view of the harbor.

19/08/2026: Family of 4 had a late arrival which was no problem. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! We spent the day in Ribe museums, Romo beach, night watchman tour etc and came here for a great night sleep. Definitely recommend it.

02/07/2026: Nice facilities. Possibility of swimming pool in town nearby. Possibility of purchasing breakfast.

21/08/2026: No whole milk - that's too bad... especially because I ordered an iced latte with whole milk, and the saleswoman tried to sell me barista milk with less than 2% fat. Got my money back, and otherwise generally great service.

12/08/2026: Delicious rolls and super friendly staff. We were only passing through, but we'd gladly come back.

30/06/2026: Cozy, but lacking a bit of atmosphere

05/08/2026: We liked the service and the atmosphere, but the food was bland and tasteless (chicken curry and udon noodles with beef). Unfortunately, we can't recommend it at all. We come from the Berlin area and are used to real flavor explosions at Vietnamese restaurants there.

25/05/2026: Excellent food and very nice staff. However it was an extremely expensive evening as their parking registration system wasn't working and i ended up having to pay a parking ticket of 910Kr! The owner offered to help and then just didn't do anything.

02/08/2026: Delicious coffee!! The sandwiches and treats look amazing, but I didn't buy them. Probably tasty!

24/04/2026: Not quite sure about allergens, unfortunately. Asked if they had a lactose-free cake, the employee looked in a folder and said that the cakes without nuts were lactose-free. It seemed that almost all the cakes had whipped cream on top, so I took one without whipped cream. There were obviously nuts inside the cake itself and therefore also lactose. So we had a birthday boy who didn't enjoy his birthday very much. Practice.

23/09/2025: The owner is incredibly friendly. We ate on site, so we could observe the family atmosphere that permeates the place. The pizza is made with high-quality ingredients and has a wide variety of toppings. Unfortunately, the taste leaves much to be desired. The pizza was bland, as if no herbs or spices were used. The garlic sauce is olive oil with wild garlic.

18/08/2025: Most friendly and generous and delicious!

28/07/2026: Small portion, we ate with wooden cutlery that couldn't cut the bread at all.
