19/08/2026: Family of 4 had a late arrival which was no problem. Staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating! We spent the day in Ribe museums, Romo beach, night watchman tour etc and came here for a great night sleep. Definitely recommend it.

10/07/2026: There were 2 of us who had lunch there. We can really recommend their pasta dish and their sourdough bread with salmon. We also had cool white wine, Chardonney, The service was top notch. A lovely place, we will definitely come again

05/07/2026: As a trained waiter, old restaurateur and 30 years in the industry, cafe Mauritz was a disappointing choice. We had received a morebox gift card as a gift, and when we were going to Svendborg we chose to use this at cafe Mauritz in Svendborg. We had booked the table two weeks in advance, and had pointed out that we had this morebox gift card with us. Still, we were told in an insulted manner by the restaurateur that they did not take these on the weekend, but then it went this time, and this was despite the fact that his shop was completely empty. The deal was that we could choose two optional dishes from the menu, but he changed it so that we could use it as cash (then he got a little more money in the till after all) I didn't feel like discussing it with him so it was fine. We couldn't complain about the service, because there was no one. In general, we didn't feel welcome. The restaurateur was angry and no one came and asked if it tasted good. The food was as expected, it was the only place in Svendborg we could choose so that's why it was there. But I didn't expect anything else than what I got. 200 gr. Beef fillet was fried perfectly and tasted good. From there it was the fries that had been given too little, Erik's bearnaise (from a bucket) salad from a bag, parmesan flakes from a bag, croutons from a bag, dressing from a can. I think they had sneaked up to cut a tomato themselves. My boyfriend got a shooting star, except it wasn't a shooting star, so the story was the same, everything from a bag and bucket. In short, it had nothing to do with cooking. And the fact that you put everything in small bowls shows that you don't even bother to make an effort. We got a couple of lemonades that were really good. The premises and interior were cozy, except that there was no light in our lamp, which I took as another sign that they didn't really care. If we had met a few smiles and friendly staff, we would probably have bought something more and left a little tip. And the tip bowl at the checkout is tasteless, if you provide good service, it will come all by itself and without that kind of begging. But then again, you don't really care. As an old restaurateur, I understand very well how annoying these boxes are, but now that you've gone into it yourself, you have to deliver too. If you don't want to provide proper service for your guests, you should find another job. But I guess we're not the only ones who have had this experience, because when we walked down the street the next day we could see that all the displays were full, but there were only two customers at Mauritz's. I don't think Cafe Mauritz will put a tip there next time we come to Svendborg. I've never written a bad review for a restaurant before because I know how devastating it can be, and if we had felt welcome I wouldn't have written this one either.

24/07/2026: I just had the worst Indian food I have ever tasted delivered. Both dishes were watery and tasteless. Never again Goa.

24/02/2026: The best thing was the cappuccino, very well prepared. Hot chocolate, as usual in Dane cafes, is more to the weak side and not thick at all. The croissant was almost good — and just that. Background music was a bit louder than necessary. On the positive side, it’s a nice small cafe. Perhaps I’ll go for a second try.

18/08/2026: The atmosphere is top notch, sweet and smiling staff, and the food is fresh and delicious, and all at prices that we can afford to visit again. The above is now 3 years ago, and it is now a completely different world. The food is now "you get what you pay for" service and the friendliness has evaporated.

11/08/2026: Very good restaurant that serve burgers and other tupe off dishes. I ordered the chicken wok. It was very good. The service waa friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fairly quite.

24/10/2025: Its quite unfortunate that the tiny rooms gave tiny desks but there are no power receptacles anywhere close to the tiny desks so not a good fit for business travelers

21/10/2025: I give it 2 points because the rooms were clean and the service was attentive and friendly. Of course, it's not always advisable to ventilate at the airport, as there's a lot of exhaust fumes in the air. The only downside is that (in unfavorable winds) the ventilation blows the airport air into the room, and you can smell every takeoff. We had to leave early because my son had a lot of trouble getting air at night. The ventilation couldn't be turned off, so it felt like a sleeping garage. Breakfast was OK - unfortunately, the cutlery and cups weren't clean and had to be thoroughly cleaned before use. The toilet (in all rooms) is squashed into the corner so that you end up with the toilet roll on your lap when you sit down. The spare toilet roll hangs right next to the toilet bowl, so you have to unwind the first few layers to avoid wiping your bottom with the sprinkled paper. The toilet seat seems to belong to a different model, so you're always sitting on the bowl.

05/05/2026: Excellent, small "satellite hotel" which is linked to Hotel Svendborg up by the "Gylletanken" in the center. The hotel is unmanned, but if you have any questions about check-in, breakfast, etc. you can call Hotel Svendborg or alternatively visit them on foot or by car, it is not very far away and on the route you will see many of Svendborg's "sights"!

01/08/2026: The brunch is ok, if you can get what you like BEFORE it runs out... Would have liked to have had an elderflower water, but they don't have that. Due to a lack of overview regarding bowling alleys, we were offered a couple of free rounds of mini golf. AWESOME!! We all had a party at the mini golf alley! It was REALLY FUN. Forget about the food and the bowling,- MINI GOLF is just fun, that's why I give it 4 stars

27/07/2026: Professional entertainment center, good atmosphere, quality drinks However, the prices are absurdly high. €100 for 2 hours of bowling is outrageous... I think that's too expensive even for Denmark... The place was packed and, including the escape rooms, had to be run by just two people... that was clearly insufficient.

11/07/2026: Good fresh produce. Good Italian pizza. Good crispy dough. The pizza was cut and brought out to us as we sat outside

21/06/2026: You have to look for a lot of poor pizza. In my world, that has nothing to do with stone oven pizza.
