02/06/2026: Our stay at the Scandic Olympic was okay overall. The room was clean and stylish, the bed was comfortable, but unfortunately, there was a sewage smell in the room in the evening. It's not something that should result in a negative review, but it wasn't pleasant either. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good. Please keep it that way; the staff were also incredibly friendly. For a short trip, it's definitely recommended, but please look into the sewage issue, as we mentioned it at check-out and the staff member told us it was a known problem. Perhaps something should be done about it. ;) :) If we come back to Esbjerg, we would definitely stay with you again.

The charming and cozy atmosphere is enchanting from the moment you walk in – the perfect place to take a short break from the stress of driving. The baked goods were absolutely divine and incredibly delicious, and the coffee was first-class, aromatic, and the perfect pick-me-up for the rest of our journey. The wonderful team deserves special mention: The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, brightening our day with their radiant smiles. A fantastic stop that kicked off our vacation perfectly. 08/07/2026: Everyone in Middelfart will be pleasantly surprised at Lagkagehuset. A wonderful atmosphere is complemented by specialty coffees and accompanying pastries. The breakfast rolls, croissants, and delicious breads are, of course, absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended! ☝️

23/09/2025: The owner is incredibly friendly. We ate on site, so we could observe the family atmosphere that permeates the place. The pizza is made with high-quality ingredients and has a wide variety of toppings. Unfortunately, the taste leaves much to be desired. The pizza was bland, as if no herbs or spices were used. The garlic sauce is olive oil with wild garlic.
