17/02/2026: We actually had pretty high expectations when we came in, and the menu looked absolutely fantastic. But unfortunately it only went downhill from there. The food didn't taste at all as expected, the portions were very small, and there were five of us who left hungry and disappointed. It's a real shame, because they have a fantastic location, and it didn't really take much to elevate the whole thing to a really good experience.

31/01/2026: Perfect after a walk along the water. Very friendly staff and we had a lovely view from our table.

07/03/2026: Just been to a pizza buffet night. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere. The best pizzaria in town.

20/11/2025: Nice place for a concert, but unfortunately it's not well ventilated and it quickly got really hot in there😒 That's why only 3 ⭐️

16/11/2025: A great place for badminton or other group sports activities. On Sundays at 12 noon, there's usually a badminton game. The team is great, everyone's welcome.

07/06/2026: We had honey smash burgers, pizza and the most delicious milkshakes!! I highly recommend Gadens Gastronomer!! It was excellent!! :)

21/12/2025: Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet has deteriorated significantly. The waffle iron is practically broken, and the finished waffle tasted musty. Instead of the wonderful toppings (like gruel and creamy yogurt mousse that were available a year ago), there was simply skyr and jam – which is already offered at the buffet anyway. The juices were unidentifiable and were certainly a fruit juice blend; there was no cappuccino or latte macchiato. The rye bread and rolls were good – one star for those. The bread and toast were very dry. The scrambled eggs were a completely crumbly, tasteless mush. The soft-boiled eggs (served ice-cold) were quite tasty, but almost impossible to peel and still very raw, making them difficult to eat. There were three types of cheese and three types of cold cuts (a perfectly adequate selection), but all of them were very dry and some were even wavy. The bell pepper strips and cucumber/carrot sticks were very soft and not at all crunchy. We arrived at the buffet early, and it was certainly all leftovers from yesterday. There was still fruit, three kinds of muesli, beans, sausages, hash browns, and jams, but we didn't try any of it. We simply lost our appetite. It's a shame, the view is so beautiful that we usually love having breakfast here.

06/06/2026: Fantastic food, great location and service and everything is perfect. BUT it was terribly hot in the room, as if the ventilation was faulty or whatever in the room, there was no possibility to open the windows, the temperature outside was 17 degrees

19/09/2025: Hmmm.. we probably won't be back. We had been looking forward to pan-fried plaice with potatoes and parsley sauce. The fish didn't have much meat on it and it was pretty dry. The potatoes were either reheated or from a vacuum pack. And yes, there wasn't much sauce.

21/12/2025: It went wrong right from the start. The menus were not the same. We wanted to have something to drink before the meal, and try one of their special beers, there were so many on the menu that they unfortunately didn't have. We ordered 2 x ribeye 1x turbot and 1 time red deer. The ribeye was cold and sinewy, the sauce was cold and then there was a sprinkling of greens on it, the poms were fine. The turbot looked like a small starter for 365kr The red deer was very delicious. Dessert 1 time ice cream ok 2x Mazarin cake with melted chocolate, the Mazarin cake was not eaten, as we did not have tools to separate it. 1x cheese consisted of 3 small cheeses 3 dry biscuits 2000 kroner for that experience, if we could do it over again we would have had a greater experience by going to McDonald's, we will never go there again.

20/12/2025: Good service, but the food was absolutely nothing to write home about paid over 1000kr. for the food and drinks, it was really bad. Ordered fish with some noodles that could be from Netto. Ribeye steak was ordered, cooked medium with was more than red and with tendons in it. We got 2 different menu cards, so it was a bit difficult to figure out which one worked, when I had to order beer I had to order 3. Times a day they didn't have the first 2 choices even though they were on the menu. So I won't be going there again.

03/05/2026: We had placed an order. 10 minutes later the employee comes and says that we can only get half of what we ordered and the reason for that was that they don't think we will eat it all. ???? After we finished the food we were going to order again, but no no the kitchen is closed even though there was still an hour until the store closes. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant before. Never going there again.

03/05/2026: Really nice food, but really disappointing that we only managed to order 3 times… Even though the restaurant wasn't full they were "busy", I didn't think it was good enough to order and get your sushi etc. 30-40 minutes later… especially when there is a 2 hour time limit. They were kind enough to add a free Faxe condi but it's still not good enough that it takes that long.

06/01/2026: Super service, really nice staff and great food!

03/01/2026: We arrived at 7:45 PM but couldn't get Bowls because they didn't have rice. So ordered 2 chicken skewers which were ice cold and 2 times fries which were so soft. We ordered one flute with ham and cheese but the daughter found some other meat in it. A really bad experience, always thought Varde was better than Esbjerg but maybe not anymore, it won't be long before we come again

09/04/2026: What a lovely place! You can buy all ceramics to-be-paintes in store, the staff was super friendly, helpful, and nice. The normal time for firing was 6 days, but since we were tourist, our ceramics were ready already the day after! Highly recommended!

29/03/2026: Complaint regarding experience at Café Kaffekop. I am writing to express my great dissatisfaction with our experiences at Café Kaffekop in connection with both a previous visit and the “Clay and Diapers” event in the mothers’ group. On our first visit, I came home with a cup that had obvious yellow discolorations after firing. When I contacted them, I was told that it was my own fault because I had allegedly not applied enough glaze – despite the fact that the owner himself had helped paint it afterwards and guided us on how to do it. The cup was subsequently re-glazed and now looks fine, which I appreciate and recognize as good service in that situation. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at the “Clay and Diapers” event in the mothers’ group. Almost everything we made ended up either breaking, getting the wrong colors or being so poorly made that it cannot be used. The owner was present and available throughout the event, and there was ample opportunity to guide and instruct us along the way. In addition, the owner himself made the “balloons” on the plate, where the glaze has clearly flowed out. The final result therefore also appears defective here, and we believe that this should have been done with greater care and precision. Despite this, we still experienced that the result was put on us, which we do not agree with. In our opinion, it is the organizer’s responsibility to ensure clear guidance and sufficient support so that we get a satisfactory result – especially at a paid event with inexperienced participants. In addition, we also experienced that dissatisfaction with the result is not an isolated case. When someone from the mothers’ group picked up their pottery, another guest came at the same time who was also dissatisfied with their result. During the pick-up itself and during our own visit, there were also additional people present who expressed the same experience of dissatisfaction. This gives us the impression that there is a more general problem with the quality of the result. It is therefore our clear experience that the expectations for the event were not met and that the necessary support and quality assurance were lacking. It is very unfortunate to have spent both time and money on an experience that ended so disappointingly for the entire group. We hope that this feedback can be taken into account so that future events can be improved.

08/04/2026: Really cozy atmosphere. Sweet and friendly service. And the food was the highlight. In this case: Stjerneskud.

10/03/2026: Kræs & Krusninger's location is truly fantastic – beautiful sea views and a great atmosphere. The service was also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food wasn't so good and was quite expensive for the quality. The nuggets had an inconsistent taste, almost as if they had been fried in very old oil. The burger was also quite dry. The location and service are excellent, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to the food.

20/04/2026: Got a well-cooked Parisian steak with plenty of side dishes. Can only be recommended.
