De bedste restauranter i Syddanmark

19/04/2025: I order on their website, have heard good things about them, so I wanted to surprise my kids with delicious pizzas. I ordered 3 different ones, paid with mobilepay, but heard nothing, I waited for over half an hour. Then I took mine and drove in, it turns out that the place has closed, and there is a for sale sign.. I don't understand how this is even possible... Why can I order on the website, pay, if it is for sale and closed?

24/07/2025: Stopped in at short notice because another restaurant was closing. What a pleasant surprise! A wonderfully friendly team, a truly fresh and delicious product. The whole family enjoyed it. Thank you to the entire team, and keep up the good work!

06/09/2025: "On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, I was with a friend in Esbjerg at Circle K. The price on the display was 12.99 DKK (approximately €1.74 per liter). Since we only had euros, I asked for the price. The employee actually said that with euros it would cost €5 per liter – almost triple! This is nothing more than cheating foreign customers. Something like this is a scandal and extremely customer-unfriendly. I strongly advise travelers not to fill up here."

29/09/2025: Great place with lots of options. The slot machines are a bit worn out and a few of them didn't wave as intended and didn't have a not working sign on them. Drink ordering etc. Works great through the app or at the bar

20/09/2025: We had ordered 4 lanes for 17 people to bowl, there was a "system error" so we were asked to wait 2 hours for our lane to be ready In addition, the cutlery in the restaurant is not clean, the food is incredibly boring, and you have to wait almost 30 minutes to receive your drinks Incompetent service, lacking employees who can take responsibility

14/10/2025: To die and go to heaven is too light a portrayal of the sublime experience of the food at Lagkagehuset. The pastries are godly, buttery and flaky and were the best pastries we've ever eaten and my partner and I both lived in San Francisco, East coast of the US and Belgium. They also come at a reasonable price. The place is bright and has a lot of natural light and the pastries are baked fresh. Overall, an amazing experience.

23/10/2025: Really bad service. They are open until 9:00 PM BUT when I call to order at 8:40 PM I am told to pick up at 8:50 PM otherwise they will not cook the food for me. I explain that I can be there in fifteen minutes because that is how long my drive there is - So 5 minutes before their closing time. But they turn me away?! Good thing there is a McD. Restaurant next door :-)

12/11/2025: We took a trip to Ribe to have some fun and do some shopping, and when we got hungry, we chose Vægterkælderen. The restaurant is certainly cozy and has charm, but the furniture is a bit worn and could do with a replacement. It was also quite dark in the room, so it was actually difficult to read the menu – a little better lighting would go a long way. The service was sweet and welcoming, and we were quickly welcomed. Since we weren’t terribly hungry, we chose a light lunch – two signature salmon with bread and a glass of dry Riesling each. The salmon tasted fine, but the bread was unfortunately so dry that it almost should have been thrown out. The wine, which according to the wine list was supposed to be dry, unfortunately wasn’t. All in all, it was a slightly disappointing experience, where the atmosphere and service were a bit of a letdown, but the food and overall impression unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.

27/09/2025: The food and wine were really good. However the service has space for improvement. We had to ask twice for an english written menu, which found the waiter obviously funny (?) The soup was really good, however a piece of bread would be nice. We had to ask for water two times, which was then put onto the bill. I gladly pay for tap water if I have ONLY water but with a consumation above 800DKK I'd appreciate tap water to be included. Food gread, service different story

24/11/2025: I have never in my life been scolded by a pizza delivery person before I ordered from you. I was told that I did not write which floor it was to be delivered to, even though I had written it in two places on your website. Then I was scolded for not answering the door phone and I told them that it was not working. Really really bad experience and we will not order from here again.

11/09/2025: It was around 5:15 p.m. Nice neutral service, nothing fancy (maybe because I myself looked like someone who was on the way to the coffin) so no one saw a cow on the ice there. Got a pita bread with kebab, but it didn't taste of anything at all and the vegetables were undoubtedly too wet. The dressing lacked more depth and acidity. The bread was of poor quality, soft and wet and should have been made from scratch and not bought from outside. The meat also lacked flavor, where they had forgotten to add the spices but the consistency was okay. All in all... a lot was saved on professional pride and raw material quality. The waiting time was top notch, but there was no one else before me.

24/08/2025: I am from Turkey. I paid 20 EUR for this meal. I have to say, it’s not very good. It’s a large meal, mostly fluff, just bread with very little meat or falafel. The falafel was extremely overcooked, leaving a bad aftertaste. I also got a small Coke and fries. I’m not used to Denmark’s prices, but this is disappointing.

13/07/2025: Backyard Tavern. There was a buffet on the menu and it was really delicious.

13/08/2025: Self service with in or outside tables. Coffee and pie can be ordered insided of the super Brufsen supermarket and you can drink and eat it outside. Totally recommendable.

26/07/2025: Best experience in Brugsen. You can get coffee from the vending machine and buy delicious cake 🤩 I chose a nut triangle and it was super delicious 😋

23/11/2025: We had a party in Slotsstalden yesterday, November 22, 2025, and the food, wine and service were top notch. In addition to the beautifully decorated room with flowers on the tables and a fire in the fireplace, we were received with great kindness. A big thank you goes out of our way for a lovely successful party that we can live on for a long time👏👏🇩🇰🇩🇰🎅🤶

17/08/2025: The starter set the tone. A white fish – dry as cardboard, grey in colour and completely devoid of flavour. Sending such a dish out of the kitchen is a culinary mortal sin. As if that wasn’t enough, the experience peaked when the chef saw fit to small talk my daughter – just 17 years old – into having a beer with him. Unprofessional and downright borderline.

27/05/2025: Feel free to compare Daddy’s pub with “Rabalderstræde”. Because it is a place where “It doesn’t get too little, and there is booze in steady streams, and the lights never go out” 🍺🍺🍺👯‍♂️🕺💃 Come happy, and go home even happier…😃 Karaoke is definitely a must at Daddy’ Pub..👍🏻
