05/08/2026: Mandø Kro is much more than just a place to eat – it is an experience that fits perfectly with the very special atmosphere on Mandø. Located in the middle of the island, the inn offers lots of charm, cozy surroundings and a genuine Danish inn atmosphere, where you immediately feel welcome. Mandø Kro The menu is based on classic Danish dishes with a focus on good ingredients and local flavors. Here you will find, among other things, schnitzel, Danish steak, moules frites, hot smoked salmon and homemade desserts as well as local beers and wines from the area around the Wadden Sea. The staff is friendly, welcoming and happy to share stories about the island and life on Mandø. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it is an ideal place to take a break after a trip with the Mandø bus or a walk around the island. The inn also offers accommodation if you want to experience Mandø at a slower pace, when most day visitors have gone home. The icing on the cake is the location in the middle of UNESCO's Wadden Sea, where nature, history and gastronomy come together in a higher unity. Just remember to plan your trip according to the tide if you drive to the island in your own car. An authentic Danish inn experience with lots of coziness, good food and a unique location. A place worth visiting – even if you are only on Mandø for a few hours. 🌊🍽️

24/07/2026: I got a meat lover deep pan, it was really good and filling.

13/07/2026: The pizza itself was very tasty and greasy. The service and atmosphere weren't so great. Nevertheless, it's worth getting takeaway.

23/04/2026: Didn't eat there because the owner was sitting outside with his phone and was loudly busy belittling everything and everyone, which we also noticed when we (which is natural for us) put out a cigarette properly and wanted to throw the shutter in the trash, were verbally abused and called a scoundrel. He didn't want the shutters in the trash, and fair enough, a normal tone of voice and a less hostile approach would have been in order. We left the place quite shocked, but what a shame that this experience was the first thing we encountered on our visit to Fanø.

29/08/2026: A very nice restaurant. It has its own charm. I only miss cleaning wipes at the tables. Other than that, it's delicious and not expensive. I recommend it.

19/07/2026: Ordered from there and it was quick. Maybe a little too quick? The pizza filling was slapped on randomly and not cut out. In a few places the pizza was a little burnt, but still tasted ok. The biggest surprise and what drags down the most was that the sausages were not prepared with the sausage mix that was also ordered.

23/06/2026: There is no restaurant and this hotel is in nowhere. You have to walk through .5m tall grass to get anywhere. And the hotel takes advantage of that. If you do walk through the grass, you can get 6 beers for less than the price of one of the hotel's beers. You generally expect to pay double or triple price at a hotel bar for drinks. This is almost 7x the price! For beer! He doesn't even do anything! It's not even on tap! It's bottles of beer! They also expect you to put your poopy toilet paper in a bag in the bathroom, rather than flush it. But they don't come clean your room everyday. So you're expected to sit with poopy toilet paper in your room. I'm only here for 2 nights, but 1 night should be enough. If you want to live in filth and pay 7x the price for a beer, come to this hotel. You'll love it. They're happy to take your money to make you sleep with poop IN THE ROOM. I will never come here again.

11/07/2026: The service was super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. Even our dog was welcome on the terrace.

11/07/2026: Nice experience and good service. We weren't that hungry and were allowed to share a pizza without any problems, which even came on 2 plates. The place may be a bit boring, but the food is not bad.

07/08/2026: After we clarified that we could also order in German, two great pizzas were prepared for us, which were really delicious and at a very fair price, we'll be back :-)

26/07/2026: We ordered pizza no. 26a and 26b, they were really delicious and with lots of filling. It took 15min to get them made, so it was absolutely perfect. We will definitely come again if we come to these parts.

12/08/2026: It was incredibly hot in the restaurant. The ice cream bar looked sloppy and unappetizing.

12/06/2026: Really makes sense! Very well located along the highway, decent rooms, clean. The restaurant serves solid food at a good price - for example, today's special which was boiled beef brisket with horseradish sauce, boiled potatoes and beetroot - tasted excellent.

10/06/2026: We called shortly before closing time to see if we could buy 2x butterchicken. We were told we could only get one and one chicken tikka masala due to closing time - fair enough. We said yes, thank you. My boyfriend got there and was told we couldn't get butterchicken and could only get korma and tikka masala. We paid full price for their leftovers. Here is a picture of the inedible leftovers, which were supposedly supposed to be chicken tikka masala and korma. It tasted about as good as it looks and we couldn't finish it. NOT OK. Enjoy!

19/04/2026: Great place for hobbies and training

17/08/2026: Disappointing and boring shooting star. The steamed fish was limp and the skin was not torn off, as well as bones found. The fried fish was thin, dry and not very good. Boring burger menu, the steak was not very good and the fries were very bland, and are more exciting at McDonalds. All in all a boring experience and cannot recommend it to others.

06/08/2026: Super good experience. Lovely food and top class service. A place I can definitely recommend.
