01/06/2025: Review of Hvedholm Castle – Beautiful setting, but uneven stay Hvedholm Castle is undoubtedly an impressive building – both outside and inside. The castle oozes historical charm with high ceilings, beautiful details and a certain calmness about it, which really invites contemplation and romance. The surroundings are also idyllic, and you can hardly help but be captivated upon arrival. But unfortunately the stay was a bit of a mixed experience. The castle seems a bit overcrowded in several places – almost as if they have tried to squeeze a little too much furniture, decorations and elements into the rooms. It takes away some of the magnificent feeling that the place could otherwise have given. You miss the air and peace to just enjoy the place. The internet is practically useless, which can be frustrating – especially when the TV in the room depends on it. The small box that was supposed to provide access to streaming services and the ability to cast from your own phone, unfortunately did not work properly. This made the evenings in the room a little more sedentary than we had hoped. Another practical problem: if you stay on the upper floors, you hardly get any cold water in the taps. I had to go all the way down to the bathroom by the reception – by the restaurant – just to get cold water. It honestly didn’t seem well thought out. There is also no air conditioning in the rooms, and for those of us who get hot at night, this is a definite disadvantage. Even though the windows were wide open, I woke up drenched in sweat at 5 am – with or without a duvet – and that made the nights heavy. The breakfast was quite nice, and the dinner was served with good timing and tasty dishes. The staff is friendly enough, but a little reserved. The young man at the reception spoke so softly that both we and the couple before us had difficulty hearing what he was saying – and in general we missed a little more smiles and warmth in the service. The castle is in beautiful surroundings, but there are not really any nearby routes or paths for a good walk. The castle garden is charming, but quite small and limited if you want to stretch your legs a little further. All in all: Hvedholm Castle has potential and lots of atmosphere, but there are some practicalities and lack of comfort that drag down the experience – especially if you expect a relaxing stay without unnecessary challenges.

17/06/2025: I have never been to such a good Circle K, or a better store in general. The employee behind the cash register was polite and helpful. I would highly recommend this particular store!!

12/06/2025: The food was ok, like a lot of McDonald's. Looks like someone has put a package on it. But the taste was good, and the wait was nice.

18/06/2025: McD is like McD everywhere - same same. Not much to write about this experience other than it's annoying to have to ask for the receipt several times. Oh yeah, my food was also lukewarm because there was a looooong wait at the pick-up counter because of the order in front of me

03/04/2025: Unfortunately, I found that jalapeños were again forgotten in my spicy Mexican sandwich. When I got home and discovered it, the shop had closed. It has happened a few times before where I have also made them aware of it. And when I've been down to the store to order, I've asked if they've remembered to put them in just to be safe. This time it was ordered online and unfortunately jalapenos were again forgotten, which is otherwise one of the regular ingredients in it. Practice But otherwise really good sandwiches - just missing the strong taste to complete the taste experience☺️ I also miss their Tzatziki, which unfortunately they no longer have.

26/03/2025: Food was okay choud be better like the souce but I was nice and on the medium side of prices and prices types wrongly on the menu 4/10 service nice the staff is nice and fast working 7/10 And the atmosphere bad almost no space to sit must stand all of the time

16/03/2025: Really bad experience. Ordered two pitas, one with kebab and one with chicken. Arrive and find out my order has been given to another person. Next, they start making my order and I am told that five minutes will pass and my order will be ready. I am then offered a soft drink, from a fridge which is open and where other food items are stored and where there is a dressing that drips onto the soft drinks. I refuse the soda. When I get my order, one pita has turned into durum and the one who was supposed to have chicken had never seen the shadow of a feather, let alone a chicken. It looked like some cheap parody of something that might have been bacon. Add 🤢🤮 and the worst thing was that on the spot they would not acknowledge or accept that they had made a mistake. And on top of that they demanded full price for what they had done, but I refused to do that. And besides, they had their display hidden. It's the checkout display I'm talking about, the one that shows what you have to pay. And they have that because they want to cheat someone if they can get away with it. By saying a right price than it is in reality. Never again if I buy food there 🤢🤮😡🤬
