05/10/2025: Super service. From reception to serving staff. Everyone was really happy, smiling and service-minded.

04/10/2025: We had a king-size bed room. The room was very small, maybe 13 square meters, with a small window, which quickly made it very warm and stuffy. Opening the window was also difficult because it's very loud outside (party area). Stains on the floor, very old furniture. For €120 a night, I would have expected a bit more, as I'd rather stay in a B&B next time. The pictures on the website and on Booking.com had nothing to do with reality. The icing on the cake was the €25 parking fee for three-quarters of a day. Just about OK for one night. On the plus side, the breakfast was really good for the price of €15.

23/11/2025: There were 8 of us eating at Hanso, we had tried it before in Aarhus with great success. We were incredibly disappointed, the food was below average, 7 out of the 10 dishes tasted of absolutely nothing, there were a few good dishes, but it could not justify a bill of over 4,000 DKK. Even the salads were boring and bland, the whole thing tasted of indifference and assembly line.

28/09/2025: We didn't know what to expect, but were only pleasantly surprised. Hanzo Esbjerg is one of my favorite restaurants. We chose the 10 dishes to share on the table, and were completely full. Good food, with lots of flavor. Several surprises that we are not used to at home in our kitchen.

14/08/2025: We drove from Esbjerg to Christiansfeld to eat, as we have visited the place several times and have been very enthusiastic. But they apparently do not serve food anymore. It might be useful to advertise this so that people do not drive in vain. We recommend Mormors landkøkken instead, a good 13 minute drive from there in Hejlsminde.

23/10/2025: Lovely old-fashioned inn located in cozy surroundings. Close to Odense and the highway.

13/10/2025: A few minutes from the Copenhagen-Kolding motorway on a main road. A gas station is opposite. Ideal. Virtually no road noise. There's a restaurant on site, but it's expensive. You could eat on the way there first, but be sure to check in early. That's not possible until very late. Breakfast is very basic but fine. The rooms are old but clean. The bathroom could use an upgrade. The bedding and towels (plenty of them) are also clean. Perfect for a one-night stopover or, for example, a two-night base for visiting Odense. I believe the bus stops 100 meters away. The price is very reasonable by Danish standards.
