03/03/2026: Probably one of the best places at the train station, if you happen to get a few extra hours or minutes there, if a DSB train is delayed on the rare occasion, LOL! The classic Danish dishes are good - available a bit better and cheaper elsewhere in Odense, but not within a short distance!

30/03/2026: We had problems with no water in the room when we arrived. This was resolved quickly. We were missing soft-boiled eggs for breakfast, otherwise a nice and varied breakfast

22/03/2026: If we had known it was a self-service hotel, we would not have booked it. When we wrote a little back and forth with maybe the owner, but at least the person who answers their messages, and finally got a greeting back, where they did not want to see us again at their hotel. It obviously has a hard time receiving criticism. We chose to check out a day early. And no, we are not usually people who complain. 20/06/2025: Really good hall. I go to handball there myself. I haven't had a bad experience. The floor is good to play on. I don't really mind it, and I love playing there, but there could be a little more spectator seats, but that's okay, we're not professionals yet.

09/11/2025: It was a boring experience, the food lacked spice, the waitress was not present, looked the other way when she served drinks, they seemed indifferent when we ordered the food. There is definitely room for more service. The burger was boring and it seemed like a warmed up steak. .. really sad.

26/10/2025: We were four people and a dog, seated outside on the terrace (which we completely understood). The terrace was covered, so that was fine — however, we asked three times for the heating to be turned on, and each time the staff said “yes,” but never did. They only switched it on as we were leaving. We arrived at 11:00 and didn’t get served until after 12:00, which was an extremely long wait. One of us received a cold dish, and another person’s dish was missing entirely. One meal included cheese that was supposed to come with bread — but no bread was brought. When we pointed out that the breakfast sausages were missing, the staff simply said that the brunch service was now closed and they couldn’t make it anymore. When we asked again for the missing bread, they finally brought it — but charged extra, even though it was supposed to be included. Overall, a very disappointing experience, mainly due to poor service and lack of attention to customers.

31/10/2025: We ordered 70 muffins with a specific theme “global safety days” (red, white and black) but received sloppy looking muffins with fingerprints, stains and Halloween decorations that we didn’t even ask for. We tried to contact him to find out what had gone wrong but got no response for over a month. When we finally called he just said that he might have deleted our email – and that “there’s nothing we can do about it”. Very unprofessional and really bad service.

27/09/2025: We are very happy with Kageboden. The staff is always really nice and the selection is good. The cakes taste fantastic.
