30/03/2026: We had problems with no water in the room when we arrived. This was resolved quickly. We were missing soft-boiled eggs for breakfast, otherwise a nice and varied breakfast

22/03/2026: If we had known it was a self-service hotel, we would not have booked it. When we wrote a little back and forth with maybe the owner, but at least the person who answers their messages, and finally got a greeting back, where they did not want to see us again at their hotel. It obviously has a hard time receiving criticism. We chose to check out a day early. And no, we are not usually people who complain. The room was ok and clean This is the original message from the owner, how they can correct/delete the review I do not know. Thank you again for choosing THE OLD LOSER HOTEL. 11/08/2025: Super delicious food and wine. Moules Frites was really good. Lots of people, only 2 waiters who were really busy. They were so nice and friendly. 🥰

19/09/2025: The service was very friendly; they even stayed open longer for us so we could finish our meal in peace. The food was good. The restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but in the back there's a beautifully designed room with a view of the lake.

12/03/2026: Ordered 3 pizzas to take away. Only one was the one we ordered, but only because the only filling was sausage. Another pizza that was ordered as per the menu was missing mushrooms, and the other one that was ordered with bearnaise and mushrooms was missing both, even though we paid extra. In addition, 2 of the pizzas were swimming in tomato sauce, and the bottom was completely rubbery when we got home after a 2 minute drive. Really miserable and disappointing experience, as we are usually always very satisfied with the food from there. Today there were different employees than usual there.

16/01/2026: We got a grilled chicken, which was OK, but 4 slices of cucumber and some lettuce is NOT a cucumber salad. It consists of many pickled slices of cucumbers.

17/12/2025: Boring Sushi, didn't really taste like anything, we could have just as easily gone to an Asian buffet. Expected a little more from a real Sushi restaurant. Their toilet was super disgusting, there was mold on the exhaust 🤮 + the door and the floor seemed greasy. I don't think it's a place I'll come back to.

28/12/2025: Delicious food with excellent flavor and friendly people. Warm hospitality and superb cuisine. I would love to come back next time I travel to Esbjerg.

11/01/2026: I usually order 1 Verona bread, previously it was Coarse French bread which you have unfortunately removed from the range. Right now I have collected 1,284 points. There is always a good atmosphere, you guys, in Meny Fredericia and I am very satisfied with your bread, even though it is on the expensive end, in terms of quality it is superior, just put the coarse French bread back in the range, greetings a satisfied customer

13/11/2025: Really nasty unpleasant employee (woman) with a shrill voice and personality who tells that she is talking on the phone, - when we can all see that is what she is doing, while we are standing in line and or have questions. We don't need to provoke customers with the obvious. Of course I will not come again ever.

27/11/2025: Maybe the worst sushi I've ever had. Terrible, lumpy rice. Deep fried (!!) sushi pieces, even though the menu didn't mention deep frying. They also never replied to my email when I complained.

17/12/2025: Ate in the Restaurant, did not stay at the Hotel. Got Tøndergryde, which was supposed to have sausages in it, we both got 2, 2 small pieces of sausages, lacked a little tomato sauce, was a little dry, but there were a lot of beetroot, which was a little hard to see, as we were almost sitting in the dark, had the lowest LED lamp we had ever seen. The food was not very hot, so when we got home, we both had an upset stomach and rumbling. Too bad because we paid some money for it.
