27/03/2025: Relaxed, nice atmosphere and wonderful food, we enjoyed it!

09/03/2025: Visited in March 2025. I'll start by saying that this may just have been my favourite restaurant visit so far. Not only did the food live up to my expectations, but the service was perfect for me - with just enough attention from the staff, yet without it being overwhelming. We got the tasting menu, which was interesting, and the food was generally very good. Many new Nordic restaurants take "boring" ingredients, such as cod or root vegetables, and make them taste good. The Samuel instead used very strong ingredients and somehow managed to harmonize them into well-balanced dishes, where the tastes complemented each other instead of being overpowering. I found this quite special and very pleasant. Perhaps the most noticeable example was the dish called All good times 3. That was one of my favourite dishes from the menu, together with the scallops and cheese platter. I was the least impressed with the desserts, but that's partly because I'm not a fan of saffron. Another thing I really liked about the food was the manitoba bread served with olive oil picked based on personal taste from a wide available selection. The drinks pairing were great. I'm not a fan of wine myself, so I got a cocktail/mocktail pairing instead, which I was generally very happy with. My favourites were the ginger mojito and the mandarin & bergamot craft soda. I know that The Samuel is known for good wine, but we almost didn't pick it because we were afraid I wouldn't have anything interesting to drink. I would very much recommend to include some more information about the availability of cocktails and especially mocktails on the restaurant's webpage. As I mentioned in the beginning, service was great. All the dishes and drinks were explained nicely and the level of attention from the staff was just perfect for me. The atmosphere was also nice, with cool art and low volume background music. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to The Samuel, and the 3.5 h we spent there just flew by. I can very much recommend the place for a high-end dinner.

16/02/2025: Hello , This is the best Turkish restaurant I’ve been . 100/10 😍😍😍 I was is many of them but this one is just a place with wonderful people working there and very delicious food 😊😊 I really love it and suggest to everyone to try it . 03/03/2025: Really nice place with a great selection of beers and a great atmosphere, whether you're alone or with friends. The hosts are professionals and can answer everything and you can get a taste test if you are in doubt about your choice of draft beer.

23/02/2025: Nice place not too large. 10 different beers, so enough for everyones taste. Perhabs not a place you wanna stay all evening, but great before or after dinner. Fair prices. Not the last time I visited that place. Didnt eat there.

31/03/2025: Åben has understood Kødbyen and perhaps a notch further than its neighbor Warpigs. I've lost count of the number of craft beer joints that serve burgers with varying results, and Åben probably had that too. The first visit that included food was a week or so after the premiere, when an Italian restaurant hosted a guest appearance that was both competent and had potential. Åben has now come so far that they are investing in an ambitious kitchen and in my opinion, on my last visit, they have something going on. The place is fantastic after dark, big tanks and pipes don't bother you in the slightest. A large and completely open kitchen with a generous number of bar seats lifts the atmosphere even more. For starters, I had a crab salad that was both fresh and filling, lovely texture to the meat. Possibly a little too cold, some of the flavor was lost there. The main course with wonderfully hearty and well-seasoned dumplings in a lovely broth was top-notch. I realized afterwards that I would have rather drunk wine, which would have gone with a pretty small selection. But you go to Åben primarily for the beer, but now there are additional, very good, reasons.

15/12/2024: Hyggeligt sted , hvor man også om sommeren kan side udendørs. Oscar har et fint lille menukort samt altid dagens retter som fremgår på en tavle inde i restauranten . Fik et par lette retter, yderst velsmagende og rigeligt til og blive mæt , samt vin dertil , her serverer de prisbillige vine med god smag samt vand til som ikke koster noget. Så alt i alt god betjening med smil, god mad og rigtigt hyggeligt. NB. den bedste julegløg jeg længe har fået , blev serveret her

19/03/2025: We just picked up pizza no. 8, the vegetables were mashed and then a spice had been added which made them taste really bad. I have never tasted the spice before.

25/02/2025: Best pizzas for this price in Copenhagen, we go there very often and they're always delicious. The team is also very friendly and always smiling! Try the tiramisu, you won't be disappointed!

10/03/2025: Things I wish I knew before going: - sauna is shared! When it’s just your time, just go in! - you will potentially need to change in public; get ready for it and it’s fine! - bring water shoes for the plunge - that way you’re not walking on rocks and getting your regular shoes wet! - bring an extra towel and leave it outside of the sauna so you can dry off after - bring a wet bag - lots of water - HAVE FUN

02/03/2025: Loved this place so much. The little sauna was amazing, so relaxing coupled with a few exhilarating dips in the harbour. Can't beat it. Had soup afterwards which was delicious, the bread in particular was unreal. I'd come back just for the bread it was that good.

22/03/2025: Super nice place and delicious food. There was a bit of a mix-up in our order but the waitress gave us our original order free of charge while letting us keep the wrong order without us asking for it. Also, they have a lot of vegetarian options!

22/03/2025: Cozy place, good location. But their brunch (or the coffee) is not that high. Nice place if your standard for food is not that high :)

12/12/2024: Unfortunately, the prices seem to have gone up, but it's still a nice place. I will probably come again in the future because of the good atmosphere
