06/03/2025: Virkelig dårlig oplevelse. Jeg hentede min mad kl. 20:10 og opdagede først derhjemme, at de havde glemt risene – så retten var nærmest uspiselig. Prøvede at ringe flere gange, men de tog ikke telefonen. Tænkte, jeg måtte køre derud igen, så jeg var der kl. 20:40, men de havde allerede lukket, selvom der står på deres hjemmeside, at de først lukker kl. 21. Dagen efter fik jeg endelig fat i dem, og deres eneste løsning var at tilbyde mig en ekstra gang ris næste gang… Seriøst? Jeg kunne ikke engang spise min mad den aften. Dårlig service, og jeg bestiller ikke herfra igen.

08/02/2025: Even though I was the only guest on a boring Sunday, the place still gave me a good vibe and I think it's a perfect place to hang out with friends who also appreciate special beer. It is clearly also a big plus that the person behind the bar is committed and wants to share his knowledge. So take a friend under your arm and visit the place if you are in the mood for exciting beer.

19/04/2025: Waiter was excellent, lovely dude, but kitchen obviously struggled with lunchtime demand, we were waiting about an hour. Was shouted at for taking in my coffee, whatever. The smoked eel was beautiful.

15/04/2025: Unfortunately, the pita had junks of burnt pita attached to it, which to me means they are not cleaning the grill sufficiently and serving burnt parts. That is a pity, because the product in itself would be nice. When I made the remark the lady replied in a condescending and unprofessional manner, she offered to make a new one undercooked for me... 🤔

14/02/2025: I don’t often post reviews unless the experience is beyond expectations or extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, in this case it was the latter. We were a party of 2, and ordered 3 smørrebrød to which our waiter asked who would eat the 3rd order. My partner responded “that’s okay, because we will be sharing”. The waiter reminded us that the 3 orders would come in 3 separate plates, condescendingly continued to explain what that meant and went on to make a snarky remark saying “this is a restaurant, food comes on a plate”. It took us a moment to even realise what he had said because we don’t often come across such rudeness, especially when we go out to dine at places rated at 4.5 with over 1.5k reviews. This wasn’t the only contribution to the bad experience. At some point we realised that every table around us was explained about the aquavits and each table had a bread basket. We were never asked if we wanted either and we felt a bit embarrassed to even ask after being met with condescension, such as “this is a restaurant”. When our drinks were almost empty, my partner was asked if he wanted another one while I was ignored - I don’t know if it was because I’m a woman or a woman of colour or plainly both. I requested one a minute later. Above all and most importantly the food was mediocre at best, the desserts were terrible (apple cake tasted mass produced and the chocolate cake was extremely dry and dense). I was not able to finish the chocolate cake and did share with the waiter that it was “just okay”, while my partner responded “all is good” because he is just too polite. Having lived in 7 countries, travelled to over 30, working in the food sector and especially as someone who loves to dine - I know a thing or two about good food and hospitality. Unfortunately, at this restaurant neither criteria qualify for more than 2 stars. I recently moved into the neighbourhood and was looking to find a home style Danish restaurant to frequent, but sadly will not be returning here.

11/02/2025: Classic restaurant, with typical food, super friendly and good service, I can't ask for more. This is what we asked for: - Herring platter: a combination of herring in various preparations: cured, pickled in mustard and fried. If you have never tried herring, it is a good idea to try it in several ways, they were all quite delicious. They bring it to you with bread and butter in case you want to make a smorrebrod, which is also very classic. - Pork tenderloin: with creamed mushrooms and pickles, it is still a grilled tenderloin, it is delicious but not wonderful. - Roast pork: as if it were a pork shoulder roasted in the oven, with crispy skin and a very juicy interior, it was delicious, but not a wonderful dish either. - Traditional Danish meatballs: the most curious flavor and least associated with a meatball that I have, very delicious, but the same as the other dishes, good but not wonderful, and not because of the restaurant, but because of the gastronomy they have there. - Cod roe smorrebrod with shrimp: it was recommended to us by the super friendly waiter, and the truth is that it was quite good, I would order it.

15/03/2025: BEST SANDWICH EVER!!! So many options and delicious ingredients best of all the rye bread was the perfect texture. The owner was super friendly and the coffee is some of the best in the city!

15/03/2025: A wonderful little gem, the food was so fresh and delicious and so beautifully presented. We went at a busy time and there was still space to sit and enjoy a selection. Definitely one to put in the list when visiting the area

28/02/2025: We celebrated my father's 90th birthday. There was a welcome drink and 4 courses afterwards. Nice room with plenty of atmosphere, low ceilings and a nice view out to a beautiful afternoon sun and a staff who performed optimally for the guests. Tastefully arranged and the waiters were good at serving between speeches and songs. Rungsted kro contributed to an unforgettable 90th birthday. Thank you🫶 Few guests wanted a different menu. In the course of 10 minutes, a fish dish with greens was served. Fantastically fast and decoratively served.

17/02/2025: Maden var som sådan ikke dårlig den var bare kedelig. Rørt tatar med kapers, dijon og peberrod – tre ting der i sig selv smager af ret meget – kunne overhovedet ikke smage nogle af delene. Kalvemørbrad fin nok bare kedelig. Æblekage bestod af en slags sandkage med lidt æblegrød ved siden af – hos mig falder det ikke under kategorien æblekage. Igen – ikke dårligt men bare kedeligt. Hvis Dining week skulle bruges til at lokke kunder tilbage så slog det fejl hos os. Og en lille sidenote … 60 kr. for 0.8l vand, det er sgu i overkanten!!

10/09/2024: Virkelig lækker mad. Vi kom flere gange efter pizza på vores ferie. Nøj hvor var de gode. Også brugeren var virkelig god. Meget venlig betjening. Kan absolut anbefales.
