08/10/2025: Whenever we're in Kerteminde, a visit here (or maybe more 😉) is a must. The ice cream is super delicious, and the waffles are also delicious.

21/02/2026: I ate at Kebabhouse No.2 in Nørre Nebel almost every day during the winter holidays, and it was really good every time. The food was fresh, the portions were large, and the staff was friendly. Definitely a place I would recommend and visit again!

15/02/2026: Terrible place! First they gave us the wrong order. My husband checked the order in the car and went back with it. The staff is initially annoyed with my husband, but they end up taking the order back and putting it in the kitchen. My husband now has to wait 20 minutes for them to cook our food. While he is waiting, another customer comes in who should have had the aforementioned order. The staff then takes the food that my husband has brought out of the pizzeria and gives it to the other customer! Under all criticism! When my husband finally gets our food, they have messed up the order AGAIN. When my husband points this out, they get downright angry and REFUSE to cook the right pizza. My husband has gradually lost patience and has to leave with the wrong order…REALLY bad and unprofessional service. In addition, the pizzas were dry and tasteless…Cannot be recommended in any way!

28/08/2025: The food was ok. However, we had been delivered the wrong pizza, which I had to contact them about. The person I get hold of when I call, however, cannot see the problem and asks what I would like to happen, where I say we would like to get the pizza we had ordered. His answer was, "well, you have got a pizza", and then offered me a discount code that I could use on my next purchase. I had to argue with him that we would like to have the pizza I had ordered. He got angry and said they would come and pick up the pizza we had got, which they did, and then give us a new one. Then another 30 minutes went by on top of the hour we had already waited, and when the pizza arrived it was only lukewarm. They probably make nice pizzas if you pick it up from there yourself, but their service is non-existent, and the staff I got hold of should know how to solve a problem with the wrong delivery, and accept they have made a mistake.

21/07/2025: Always nice to come by the Haarby bakery on a bike ride. Good sandwiches and a nice selection of cakes.

14/01/2026: Esbjerg food was cold salad was not fresh fish fillet lukewarm remoulade with skin on 🤷🤷🤦

22/12/2025: We arrived with a big family of 7 without a booking and were understandably turned away, to which we had logistics issues trying to coordinate where to otherwise go for dinner, but staff walked back out and said a table had been freed from someone not showing up. The staff was efficient, professional and were creative in problem solving the various hiccups that in the end that fully made up for a much appreciative experience. The food and everything else speaks for itself, thanks for an excellent experience.

29/09/2025: Set 3 course menu that you do not know in advance. If you do not like that, do not go. Food ok to very good. Great starter, ok main, nice desert. Good wines, also by the glass. Kind but extremely busy service. Kitchen understaffed.

24/06/2025: Today we enjoyed a lovingly curated cheese platter in this small but exquisite cheese shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained the different cheeses to us in detail. Highly recommended.

30/10/2025: We were surprised. We did not expect the pizzeria around the corner from our house would have better pizzas than the pizzas we ate in Italy. Absolutely delicious. Recommend 100%. Also amazing Kebabs.

08/11/2025: It was our first visit to Uncle A today – a completely random stop, driven by a voracious appetite – and it turned out to be a complete experience. The tasty, highly plated finger food was a real treat for both the eyes and the palate, and every bite was marked by care and quality. The service also deserves high praise; the staff were welcoming, genuinely friendly and made us feel at home immediately. Added to this is the cozy and inviting decor, which creates a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, where you want to stay a little longer. We are already looking forward to our next visit – thank you so much for a wonderful lunch experience!

09/02/2026: Good drinks and music at night! At might seems more bar than restaurant. The only thing I found interesting is that every time we ordered a drink we needed to pay. Overall it is a nice place with food atmosphere.

21/08/2025: I have previously visited Fænøsund for evening events and have always had good experiences – both with the food and the professional service. Therefore, I had a clear expectation that the lunch would live up to the same level. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had booked a table, and when we arrived, we asked ourselves if we could sit outside because the weather was nice. Fortunately, we could, and we found a seat. Shortly after, a young employee came with the menus, but after that not much happened. After waiting for over 25 minutes, I went up to the restaurant myself to order, otherwise it would have taken even longer. The drinks came after about 10 minutes, which was acceptable, but the process was far too slow when there are just two people with a simple order. The food – open sandwiches – tasted fine, and the quality is absolutely fine. But the portions were WAY too small for the price. Or rather: the bread was big enough, and there were plenty of garnishes, but almost no real filling. The veal tartare was minimal and almost lost under the garnish, and the same was true for the herring and salmon. At 110 kr. a piece, you expect a decent piece of smørrebrød with substance – here it felt like you were paying for a lot of garnish on a large piece of bread. After the meal, it took an unreasonably long time before we could order coffee. Finally, we gave up and went up to pay ourselves. Here the young employee in the kitchen stood and ate. She just handed over the card machine without a word, without asking about the experience or giving the impression of professional service. All in all, we ended up spending almost two hours getting two pieces of smørrebrød and a cup of coffee – and that in a restaurant that is otherwise known for a higher standard. Fænøsund has a fantastic location, and I still want to come back for an evening event where both the food and service have been really good. But the lunch experience was so poor that I don’t want to repeat it. If the lunch concept is to work, you should either raise the level significantly or adjust the price to match the restaurant's otherwise good reputation.

19/07/2025: Really delicious restaurant with a wildly beautiful view. The food comes quickly or as needed (if you want this) so the service is top notch. They explain what you are eating and the food is very particular. I got a 4 course meal to taste as much as possible, but I am surprised that this year there was veal on the menu and not just fish. Otherwise I remember the restaurant as a purely fish restaurant. If there are many guests, the noise can unfortunately be a bit loud and seem a bit overwhelming to some. A nice little detail is that you can thank the chef (if you want) for well-prepared gourmet food, as he himself comes down to the table..
