26/12/2025: We (Judeans) met with people from Zealand in Fåborg and chose Heimdal for dinner. We had read some reviews beforehand but we Judes are not intimidated...We adults ordered the dish of the day, sirloin a la creme, and it tasted great...maybe a little less salt in the mushroom sauce (for my taste) and 2 minutes less on the sirloin, but I ate it up and took more sauce for the last potatoes 😝 Overall a good experience, no dirty tables, floors or ugly toilets, as I had read previous reviews..and a sweet and attentive waiter/hostess.... Would love to come again... And then the red wine we ordered that they didn't have, so we just got the slightly more expensive one at the other's price, SO

29/09/2025: Spontaneous lunch in connection with a family trip, there were nine of us going to eat and we all got quite different food. There was agreement that the food tasted great; especially the steak sandwich and Wienerschnitzel got high praise along the way. Nice selection of drinks, including local specialty beer! Cosiest place, only complaint from here is that the chairs are clearly from a modern café. It would suit the room and the restaurant if the interior design was more consistent with the premises and the history of the place. Top service! And a fun detail: the toilets are in the basement through the old bank vault 🤗

22/11/2025: If you want the game bodega experience then Den Gamle Skomager is definitely a good choice. We felt like we were stepping into 1990 with the music that suited the people who had probably also been sitting there since then. Well mixed with new young people who got too drunk and fell asleep at the table 😅. We experienced as unknown guests being really well received, except for Laila who apparently wasn't that keen on the male regulars wanting to talk to us. It was a bit more comical than uncomfortable and was completely in line with the 90s experience. We'd like to come back when the clothes have been washed of smoke and debate the difference between a Carlsberg pilsner and an Odense pilsner.

08/01/2026: You always feel welcome at Jesper and Rasmus's place. The food is super delicious and with the finesse and expertise that we love and still with a price level that doesn't run away even though there is quality above the things. Therefore 5 stars on all fronts. We will definitely come again 😉

24/01/2026: A lovely restaurant in the basement. We were a large party of 13 people and had a 4-course menu. There was plenty of food, everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented, and it tasted really good. The atmosphere was cozy and very atmospheric. I would definitely come again.

01/11/2025: Super evening buffet for a birthday. Preben is in charge of the kitchen and Oscar is in charge of serving.

14/12/2025: Stayed at the hotel for one night on a deal with accommodation, 3 course menu and breakfast. The room was nice, large, a little worn and with a terrible shower. It was completely limescaled, and felt like syle. The 3 course dinner was delicious and tasty. However, the bread for starters was very dry. The service was fast and polite. Breakfast was nice, but missed the opportunity to get a caffe latte or other delicious coffee. Most of the staff at the hotel were foreign. The location is tip top in relation to the center and the water.

24/11/2025: Nice location in relation to the center, okay rooms and nice view. We were there on a luxury stay with 4 course menu, wine menu and breakfast. The dinner was quite terrible and what was supposed to be hot was cold. We have never been served such bad and tasteless food before. When you mentioned to the waiters that the food was not good and cold, they just switched to English and then stayed away from the table. The breakfast was okay.

20/08/2025: Such a cute little café, a wonderful hostess who even speaks German. Fresh and delicious cake, drinks, coffee, and all sorts of things to look at. Just the thing on this small island.

25/10/2025: Denmark's friendliest station. Good coffee, service and a super cozy place to wait.

11/01/2026: Even though it's under construction they still have a nice shop and toilets.

10/01/2026: Free truck parking, plenty of spaces, showers 30 kroner, toilets free. Wi-Fi is available for an hour. Overall, it's a good parking lot, nothing to worry about. I recommend it for a weekend break.

27/09/2025: We were three Zealand students on a Jutland course and had two unplanned hours in Vejle before the train home. We spent them here, with fantastically sweet service and lovely coffee :)

11/09/2025: Insanely cozy restaurant. Not many tables, but a nice atmosphere. Will definitely try again next time we are in Tønder.

06/09/2025: Best in town, love the tempura roll! The owner chef is great, very warm!
