03/11/2025: Delicious service, your salad is mixed for you, which is rare. The ingredients are fresh and so are the staff

22/10/2025: We had the falafel (V) and the chicken curry sandwich. Both were incredibly delicious. The service was excellent; both employees were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English and good German. It was easy to have a pleasant conversation, and the food was prepared quickly and individually (like at Subway, you can add or leave things out). Excellent value for money! I would eat there again anytime.

22/08/2025: A little gem in Assens for all beer lovers: Skænkestuen offers a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and cozy rooms. We were lucky enough to visit them in connection with the city festival. There is a large selection of beers - from bottles and cans to exciting beers on tap. From what we could understand, cozy events are held, and there is the opportunity to get small snacks or main meals with the beers. The prices are of course a little above the usual prices in the city, but they also sell some more specialized and exciting beers by the glass and bottle. A digital card for the tables could be recommended, this would be a good option. All in all, a delicious place that definitely deserves a visit or more - we didn't taste the food, however, so this is not rated.

28/08/2025: The current exhibition was very nice, and the staff very friendly. The café offers delicious cakes and coffee in a French press. Where else can you find that? It's just a shame that the renovation to the exhibition space has left nothing of the old castle recognizable.

02/10/2025: The parking lot itself is free and theoretically unrelated to the gas station. The service at the station is friendly, and it's clean and pleasant. Showers cost 3.50 euros, but there's a toilet and hot water inside. As for me, it's great 👍👍👍

08/11/2025: A lovely bakery with a large selection of rolls, bread, pastries, and cakes. For Danish standards, the selection of rolls is enormous! 😅 The service is very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I'd happily come back.

02/11/2025: Didn't realize that men +55 years old could roll their eyes in irritation. Owner is not welcoming and not at all flexible in terms of meeting the needs of the new age and young people's preferences. Appears arrogant and old-fashioned. A cafe for an older audience who do as they usually do and don't want change. For them it's a fantastic cafe.

23/02/2025: Delicious bacon steak sandwich with really good fries. It was a good experience. For the fries there was a delicious onion ketchup.

11/11/2025: World class pizza. I'm a meat lover man when it comes to pizza so of course I get one. I also get really good fries. My colleague orders a spicy kebab dish which he was also very happy with. (And gave him a sweat on his forehead)😅 Fantastic service at the table like at a "real" restaurant. Nice smiling guy serves us quickly and there is nothing to complain about here. The food comes piping hot after 10-15 minutes and the price matched all others with similar menus. I called it Varde's best pizza without having tried others. The man replied "That's what people say anyway" with a smile on his face. I will have a hard time choosing other options if I come to those parts again because this was really good. Top marks from here👍👍
