28/05/2025: Vi havde en helt fantastisk oplevelse på Restaurant Lyst i Vejle! Smagsoplevelsen var intet mindre end sublim, og de mange små amuse-bouches var en sand fryd for både øjne og smagsløg. Hver bid var gennemtænkt og spændende, og det var en fornøjelse at udforske Lyts's kreativitet. Deres vinkort er en skattekiste i sig selv, fyldt med gode vine til meget rimelige priser – en sjældenhed for en restaurant af denne kaliber. Det gav os mulighed for at finde et par perfekte vine, hvilket kun løftede oplevelsen yderligere. Vi har besøgt flere Michelin-stjernede restauranter, men dette var uden tvivl en af de bedste 1-stjernede oplevelser, vi har haft. Service var uovertruffen, med et opmærksomt og passioneret personale, der gjorde aftenen helt speciel. Hvis vi skal nævne en lille ting, var den sidste tur ud for rense "smagsløgsrenser" lidt unødvendig. Frem og ilbage. Alt i alt var det dog en vidunderlig oplevelse, som vi varmt kan anbefale. Restaurant Lyst er en mad perle, der kombinerer kreativitet, smag og enestående service til perfektion. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbake.

21/08/2025: I have previously visited Fænøsund for evening events and have always had good experiences – both with the food and the professional service. Therefore, I had a clear expectation that the lunch would live up to the same level. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We had booked a table, and when we arrived, we asked ourselves if we could sit outside because the weather was nice. Fortunately, we could, and we found a seat. Shortly after, a young employee came with the menus, but after that not much happened. After waiting for over 25 minutes, I went up to the restaurant myself to order, otherwise it would have taken even longer. The drinks came after about 10 minutes, which was acceptable, but the process was far too slow when there are just two people with a simple order. The food – open sandwiches – tasted fine, and the quality is absolutely fine. But the portions were WAY too small for the price. Or rather: the bread was big enough, and there were plenty of garnishes, but almost no real filling. The veal tartare was minimal and almost lost under the garnish, and the same was true for the herring and salmon. At 110 kr. a piece, you expect a decent piece of smørrebrød with substance – here it felt like you were paying for a lot of garnish on a large piece of bread. After the meal, it took an unreasonably long time before we could order coffee. Finally, we gave up and went up to pay ourselves. Here the young employee in the kitchen stood and ate. She just handed over the card machine without a word, without asking about the experience or giving the impression of professional service. All in all, we ended up spending almost two hours getting two pieces of smørrebrød and a cup of coffee – and that in a restaurant that is otherwise known for a higher standard. Fænøsund has a fantastic location, and I still want to come back for an evening event where both the food and service have been really good. But the lunch experience was so poor that I don’t want to repeat it. If the lunch concept is to work, you should either raise the level significantly or adjust the price to match the restaurant's otherwise good reputation.

10/08/2025: A really lovely experience... We were there with our 2 youngest children and their children. There was a playroom for the children and we had a fantastically lovely menu in the evening. The breakfast is amazing... There is everything your heart desires.

10/08/2025: The location is ideal, but I'm having problems with my therapy dog. The extra €40 for a dog isn't justified. No bowl, no dog run. The dog doesn't cause any extra work.

15/03/2025: We went to biks and bajer, which we had heard so much about. The service was perfect, friendly and with humor. We were constantly asked if we could have more and no expense was spared on the food. Unfortunately, the biksema consisted primarily of potatoes and vegetables and only very little meat, which was a mixture of beef and something like hamburger back. It tasted good, but is not something we drive for again.

22/08/2025: Really cozy café and shop. The service in both the café and the shop is really good, they are welcoming and chatty. In addition, the food is really good, and there is a good selection of different things: sandwiches, platters and many different cakes that vary. At Christmas the atmosphere is even better, where the whole of Krusmølle is transformed into a magical Christmas market with a large shop upstairs, and fresh homemade large apple slices and their own red wine mulled wine as well as their non-alcoholic apple mulled wine. Outside there are also two live reindeer - definitely worth a visit both in the summer or at Easter, but also at Christmas! - we come there often :)

20/08/2025: Such a cute little café, a wonderful hostess who even speaks German. Fresh and delicious cake, drinks, coffee, and all sorts of things to look at. Just the thing on this small island.

02/08/2025: Anyone making a detour to Barsø must therefore also visit the small island café. The owners are very friendly, communication is easy in English, and you can also pay by card. The tapas platter is highly recommended (unfortunately currently only available for three weeks during the peak summer season), which is absolutely delicious, even with locally produced cheese, sausage, bread, butter, or dips. To round things off, we even managed to spot porpoises on the ferry ride back (to Barsø Landing), briefly following the ferry at a distance! An all-round successful trip!

13/08/2025: We had been to the cinema and wanted a cup of coffee afterwards. It was about 8.45pm. It looked closed, dark and with the chairs up on the tables. It turned out that one half of the café was closed. However, we could sit in the other half, and were told that we had to order before 9pm. The coffee came quickly. And the place was quickly cleared as soon as we had finished drinking. We felt like we were a bit of a nuisance.
