De bedste restauranter i Syddanmark

07/08/2025: We chose Restaurant Mågen when we had to find a place to have lunch during our holiday in Assens. It is located down by the water, southern Little Belt. It is a restaurant that can accommodate a lot of guests and has many different places to sit and enjoy the food. You can sit outside at the entrance, inside in a large room with large windows facing the water and in a slightly larger room that is a little more secluded. But here too you can enjoy the view. Then there is a larger courtyard with a number of tables also facing the water and a whole section with delicious lounge furniture. I think it is used a lot in the evening when the big grills are fired up. It is bright and airy inside. It was well attended. There is a large Marina and mobile home department in the area so I think that does something to the visits. We chose a table out in the courtyard and could see the water as part of the pleasure. The waitress was friendly, smiling and present even though you could see that she was busy. We chose the always good Søbogård Hyldeblomst om Kromandends burger which was part of a smaller lunch selection. Including open sandwiches, starbursts and Paris steak. It was a deliciously tasty burger with crispy fries and chili mayo. Not exactly gourmet but very suitable for a lunch dish. The portion was so generous that we had to leave a little. All in all a good experience. Can definitely be recommended. Take a walk afterwards down to the pier with the little lighthouse and smell the sea. It's balm for the soul.

11/08/2025: Danish petrol station with automatic fuel dispensers for payment, currently difficult to access due to construction work

01/08/2025: Gas is a bit more expensive than in the rest of Denmark. Gas station close to the highway. Decent restrooms. Very tidy and clean store with lots of products. It has high stools and tables where you can have a drink and rest. They have a bucket and brush for cleaning car windows.

03/08/2025: Justo lo que debe ser IT, una bonita pizzería, con un servicio amable en Inglés adecuado. Las pizzas eran muy buenas, el ambiente agradable y aparentemente popular entre los lugareños. Los precios parecen muy justos.

08/07/2025: Fantastic place with exceptional service. We were greeted by a busy but very service-minded and pleasant man who really knows his stuff. In the restaurant we were served a 3 course meal that we will never forget. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

06/09/2025: Thank you for dinner, I noticed that all the staff were smiling and happy, thank you for a good experience. The food came really fast so the wait was short.

26/08/2025: Top, only three guests on a Tuesday where we just had to have coffee/tea. Everything was served by a nice helpful waiter. I have only seen the place late on a Saturday with lots of people and live music going on. So you can also get a late coffee and bottled beer here on a Tuesday when the city is otherwise closed down

12/08/2025: ★★★★★ – Highly recommended! The food was simply very, very, very good – one of the best burgers I've ever had! The ingredients were fresh, the meat and chicken were perfectly prepared, and the food was crispy wedges and a delicious dip. The location is nice and quiet, outside in the shopping center, ideal for relaxing. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Everything is clean and well-maintained. I'll definitely be back!

20/08/2025: Maden er god kvalitet men 1 times ventetid på en burgermenu og en halv kylling med pomfritter på en ikke særlig travl dag det er helt uacceptabelt og at de så nåede at ekspedere andre der kom efter os ikke i orden desuden gik wcet i stykker to gange mens vi var der så derfor kun 2 stjerner

08/08/2025: Mig og gutterne fik en fremragende burger, perfekt lavet, gode pommes, der var dog en lille pisse medarbejder ved navn Mads der gik og gjorde vores aften til det rene vanvid, tag en snak eller fyr dog barnet - Mvh Gino og vennerne

22/02/2025: I noticed that the salad on the pizza was completely dark, to my surprise I called in and wanted 2 new ones because I've just been sick with food poisoning and didn't want to take the chance, they said there were 2 new ones on the way and the salad on the side, as an extra service, clear and free. Really good service! The pizzas tasted really good. Great recommendation from here.

15/08/2025: Get the best and (maybe) biggest sausage or kebab mix in Esbjerg. Always good service.

28/05/2025: Super friendly and accommodating. Ordered for 6 people and it took roughly 10minutes. Could not take mastercard but i had cash. Fried chicken and chips, roasted hotdog, Red giant in a blanket and chicken nuggets w. chips for the kids.

31/07/2025: It was the funniest and at the same time biggest disaster I have ever experienced in my life. The "waiter" asked if we wanted to sit outside, the tables are very wet, it is said in continuation of the question. We don't have time to sit down before we are asked, what do you want to drink? Uhhh, what do you have? We ask. Tonight there is a buffet, you just start Breaded pork with parsley sauce and potatoes. Omelette with bread and pork. When I was supposed to have the first portion, it was all cold, as in cold. I ask, don't you have anything hot??? The waiter's answer was: I'll get him (the chef) to heat it up again. We also need a little more pork. After a short time it came back heated. I was asked; is it better hot? I didn't want to say that to the young waiter, but I have never tasted anything so nasty. The sauce was so thick that I could hardly get it off the spoon, the potatoes tasted of sour water and the slaw was tasteless The pork from the omelet was okay, but cold and so was the omelette at the same time it tasted of water However, I was told that a hot omelette was on the way Price DKK 205.00 per person..hmm I wish them luck in the future.
