05/10/2026: The fish and chips were a bit greasy. We were initially given a seat by the window, but there wasn't enough room to sit down; people at the other tables were also sitting quite far apart. We found another spot ourselves.

20/07/2026: This beautiful resort is set in a wonderfully quiet location, surrounded by nature and tucked far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are lovely, the buffet is delicious, and the staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming. The absolute highlight of the place, however, is the central courtyard, which is home to a delightful family of deer and goats. It is a truly wonderful feature that makes the stay extra special. On top of that, the grounds offer plenty of space for relaxing walks, a peaceful lake equipped with hammocks, a small football pitch with goals, and even a dedicated campfire spot to enjoy in the evening. You certainly won't get bored here. It is definitely worth planning a stop at this venue, especially if you are traveling around Denmark by car.

06/04/2026: Stayed a few days here. We had booked a spacious double room, and have to say that it wasn't very spacious. It took some time to get hot water for the first time in the mornings, but after letting quite a bit of water run, we got pretty hot water. But the room was very clean and comfortable, and we were happy with it. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was okay (for vegetarians). They did offer dinner buffet, but it looked like most of the dishes were meaty. The location is great - it is quiet and 30 min drive to Odense or Kolding. The most important thing to note is that the hotel closes at 9PM, so there won't be anyone to help if needed after that.

20/10/2026: A really nice place with good food. Even though the place is big and the ceilings are high, it's not difficult to have a conversation. It will be a return visit - for sure.

22/09/2026: One of the worst dinner experiences for a long long time

17/10/2025: 08.10.2025 My girlfriend and me who come from England were stopping overnight in Tønder at the nearby Motel near the main train station for 1 night having travelled from Hamburg, and we were heading to Copenhagen the next day. So I had already reserved a table for dinner at this wonderful little boutique hotel. When we arrived the 3 young ladies working kindly welcomed us and all spoke very good English as we cannot speak Danish. We were early for the booking and they did offer for us to be seated immediately which was nice of them, but we insisted on having a pre-drink in their nice bar. I had a Steak Tartare while my girlfriend ate a Pork Cheek dish. Then for dessert I chose the Lemon Mousse while the Cheese & Biscuit platter was also chosen. All dishes were beautifully presented on their plates and were very flavoursome. Yes this may cost a little more than most average priced restaurants, but we got good quality for our money at least. Which is why I highly recommend this place for all kinds of guests, even travelling tourists like we were on the above date when we actually visited. And if I had more money on me I probably could've chosen to stay here, but the Motel suited me on this occasion because of our needs to use the local trains for our travels.

29/09/2025: We are so happy to visit Hostrups Hotel that we have been here in all seasons and enjoyed it every time. A very welcoming welcome means a lot to us - we get it. We have stayed in rooms in the main building and side wing and have been extremely satisfied: quiet and comfortable decor and really good beds. The food is always innovative, looks inviting and is tasty. A walk around the streets of Tønder and a visit to a nearby small German town are part of our stay, after which it is nice to come 'home' to Hostrups Hotel and rest our legs before dinner and a drink.

06/06/2026: We stopped by Trier's Corner because they had caipirinha on the drinks menu. Their caipirinha is the real deal; they made it with the typical Brazilian liquor called Cachaça 51.

23/08/2026: The restaurant is located in truly beautiful surroundings at Langesø Golf. The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. The service was nice and polite, the young man who greeted us had unfortunately forgotten about us, so it took a while before we got our food.

19/08/2026: Delicious food, but only 4 stars because unfortunately we were not informed that there was only seating outside when we called in and booked a table, so we were not prepared for that. The waiter apologized and said that we should have been told. Super nice waiter. Nice view of the golf course outside. No heat lamps outside, but blankets and cushions for the chairs are available.
