Ishuset ved Henne Strand

30/06/2026: Anyone visiting Henne Strand simply has to stop by for a break and enjoy an ice cream or an Aperol Spritz. Ishuset is a true institution!
Unfortunately, it burned down last week and it will probably be some time before it can reopen.
27/06/2026: Unfortunately, it seems to be closed for the entire season due to a fire - we were there today, June 27th, 2026. Very sad ☹️ but the cafe is completely burned down.

10/06/2026: A beautiful, 25,000 square meter property, wonderfully landscaped and open to visitors. It features sculptures and a café. Dogs are allowed throughout the grounds. A visit is well worth it.

The size of the fries on the kids menu was way too big, there are almost twice as many fries as the burger(!)

11/10/2025: Despite high demand and no reservation, we managed to get a table for three. There was a German menu, and the wait staff also spoke quite good German. This is mostly possible in Denmark, but not a given. We'd be happy to come back.

23/05/2026: It was a truly wonderful experience dining here and enjoying the exceptional service.
It's a kind of themed restaurant, offering only one complete menu for a month. The menu is always something special, with wines perfectly paired with each dish. The service is exceptional; every menu item and every wine is explained in detail.
The staff is very friendly and incredibly helpful.

06/07/2026: We sat there and ate, and we had spent around 700kr. When we were leaving, we asked for a cardboard cup for the rest of the smoothie for our son. We had to pay 5kr for that…. Would have given the service 0 stars if that were possible.

03/06/2026: We had a summer party with our staff association. There were 60 of us and we had a fantastic evening with delicious food and drinks. And not least, an attentive staff who looked after us all evening.
03/06/2026: Now hold on tight for a fantastic experience. We started by arriving too late in the evening, and the kitchen was closed. But the smell and atmosphere were enough to persuade us to come the next day in good time. And how glad we were that we did. Fantastic food that was so authentic and tasty that we overate. The waiter was so sweet and friendly and we felt really welcome. It's a bit far from home but we really hope we can come again, as soon as possible 🥰👍

Honestly wasn't impressed. The pizza was swimming in grease, so I was left with a clammy feeling after 3 slices. The crust can't be called crust on this pizza, as there is nothing crusty about it. It's just soft and indifferent. It's just a below average pizza.

10/07/2026: If you are into alternative pizza combinations then this is the place. In the heart of Kerteminde you can get all the classic variants and also alternative suggestions like a no. 18 "Danish" which can best be described as a rib roast sandwich on pizza. The food tasted quite good but without us falling off the chair in pure excitement. Really good service and with many nice seats, some inside and many outside.

27/06/2026: Absolutely perfect. We were greeted very warmly by a very nice young waitress. We had no trouble conversing in English. Inexpensive by Danish standards, similar to Germany. The food arrived very quickly and was amazing. I never would have expected it. The quality was absolutely top-notch, and the price was fantastic. We'd gladly come back anytime! 👍 👍 👍

09/06/2026: The hotel is beautifully situated down to Koldiing fjord with their own bridge where ships can dock. The food is really good and varied. The buildings are historic and really beautiful.
09/06/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Koldingfjord.
Everything was top class! From check-in to check-out. Staff was very nice and friendly, rooms were clean, food at the restaurant tasted fantastic. There is nothing negative to say at all.
Huge recommendation from here.
Hotel Koldingfjord helped make our wedding day even more fantastic!
