31/07/2025: A very small and incredibly cozy restaurant, where the menu is set in advance. The staff consisted of 2 sweet girls who knew what they were talking about and were clearly proud of what they presented.
The food, apart from the dessert, far exceeded our expectations and the main course was a masterpiece. The dessert was not my wife's favorite dish and I probably agree, albeit somewhat less. It tasted like a mushy rice a la mande, but it was made with carrots. It fell a little short compared to the rest of the menu, but was certainly not bad.
All things considered, the visit was the highlight of our trip.. Highly recommended..

An absolute breakfast dream in the heart of Ribe! Café Sally's not only impresses with its rustic, cozy ambiance and many loving details, but also with a breakfast that simply delights.
Everything was fresh, high-quality, and lovingly prepared – from the fluffy scrambled eggs with crispy bacon to the creamy yogurt granola with fresh fruit to the delicious chia pudding with nuts and berries. They also offer gluten-free breakfast options. The chai latte was also a real highlight – wonderfully aromatic and at the perfect temperature.
A particularly nice touch: You can also pay in euros and receive your change in Danish kroner. An all-round harmonious experience – I'd be happy to return here again!

19/08/2025: Lovely weekend with the family and a great birthday dinner with super delicious food and drinks. Top service from the restaurant manager and his team. Beautiful view! Breakfast was not a great experience. Maybe a menu so you can see what you can order? It's not okay to run out of orange juice either. Then you have to have another one in reserve ;-) That said, we'll be happy to come back another time.

22/05/2025: A very cozy cafe with a large selection of delicious pastries. The cozy cafe on the first floor, in the middle of the old town of Tøndern, a place to relax and unwind. The service was unsurpassed friendly and helpful. There are no language difficulties there; the staff speaks English, German and Danish perfectly. This will be our regular cafe as new Danes.

03/08/2025: This is the most disappointing experience in a long time. We bought really expensive buttered rolls with cold cuts when we were on the road.
To find out that they used what looks like a quarter teaspoon of butter for each roll, it's just too bad, I could buy two packs of butter for the price of one roll 👎🏼 plus the bread tasted like it had been stale since yesterday.
It was really not worth eating.

25/08/2025: It's great to have a new look, but why change something that works so drastically...? We've been to Christies twice before and everything has been top notch, but this time the food was a confusing mess and several of the 6 dishes that were included in the stay were completely off the mark. It seemed as if they were trying to make gourmet food at a high level, but the ingredients and composition fell completely to the ground, shame roast chicken with roquefor sauce with canned baby corn, no thanks! The wines tasted great and the staff were nice, the breakfast was tip-top. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Exciting and good food at a relatively high culinary level. There is still room for improvement in choosing the right wine for the individual dishes in my opinion and taste. But all in all a predominantly positive experience.

29/07/2025: One dish was excellent, but my moules frites were cold. The open flat soup dish used was unsuitable and it being cold and not warm it exacerbated the problem. Nice surroundings, impeccable service.
